Pet Fee: There is a pet fee (except at Thistle
Hollow) of $25 for up to 4 nights and $50 weekly to a $100
maximum.
Holiday Weekends: The higher rates apply
to Clipp’s Mill and Yellow Springs Run Cabins for two
nights on holiday weekends. For
other properties the three-night rate applies to holiday
weekends.
Sales Taxes: Taxes are additional. Tax
rates are as follows:
- The Maryland properties incur 12% of taxes (6% state and
6% local).
- Yellow Springs Run Cabin and Congress Cottage incur 9%
of taxes (6% state and 3% local).
- Thistle Hollow Cabin has a 6% tax rate (6% state only).

SPECIALS
“El Camino del Medio”. For midweek
stays (Sun-Thurs nights, excluding holiday eves):

Stay three nights for the price of two nights, or

Stay up to five nights for the price of three nights
“Shall We Gather at the River.” We offer
a discount for simultaneous rental of The Wash House and Clipp’s
Mill Cabins. Combined they offer three bedrooms.
“The Federal.” We offer GSA rates
on midweek stays for travelers on government business.
“The Lone Pilgrim.” We make available
some discounts for single individuals.
“Will Ye No Come Back Again.” Guests
who are returnees (either returning to the same Rustic Retreat
or staying at another one) are offered a complementary extra
night on any stay of three nights or more or two complementary
extra nights on a stay of a week or longer.
Reservations
Reservations are
required. Reservations can be made by telephone, with our on-line
booking form or by emailing us directly at info@rusticretreats.net. We
encourage you to make a reservation as early as possible
especially if you have very specific dates or destination
in mind.
Payments
We will hold the nights you request
and email (or mail if preferred) an invoice to you.
- For stays of less than a week, full payment will be due
within 10 days of booking.
- For stays of a week or longer, $300 will be due within10
days of booking, with the balance due one month prior to
the start date of the stay.
Upon receipt of the first payment, we will email (or mail
if preferred) full information for accessing the property,
directions, local amenities etc.
Refunds and Credits
We issue a full refund by check for cancellations made at
least 14 days prior to the start date of the stay. We give
a full credit towards another rental in the event of later
cancellations.
